How to reverse image search on iPhone

Have you ever asked yourself what this plant’s name is, but you never found out the name or any information at all? How to search images from Google app search results?

You can and will easily do that by following the steps below. And please be aware that when you perform this method, you might get similar images or/and websites with the exact same picture that you just searched.  

• Please go ahead and open the Google/Chrome app.
• Search after the image you want to do a reverse image search on.
• Now kindly click on the picture you desire.
• Kindly click on the Google lens icon. Just as shown in the picture below. (if the icon is not visible, please click and hold on the image for a few seconds till a few options pop up. Kindly choose Search Google For This Image. Click that option to search for similar images or/and for more information about it)

After you have clicked on the Google lens icon you will get a new “page”. Just as shown below. 

Now you are able to see related pictures/information of the image we just did a reverse search image on iPhone. You can adjust the square of how much of the image you want to search, simply by inserting the part in the white transparent square. But that’s not all, Google lens has many useful tools that offer us. Some of them are, to select and copy a text from the picture above, or/and translate it.

In the following tutorial, we are going to show you step by step on how to do a reverse search image on Google from your device by taking a picture or searching from your photo gallery.

1.  Kindly open the main Google app. (See image below) And click the camera icon.

2. Now you can search for similar pictures on Google, select and translate any text you want or/and find where to buy similar objects if they are possible to buy online.

Now let us do the same thing but on a Safari browser.

Some people do not have the Google/Chrome app and only have Safari app since it is the default browser on an iPhone. Do not worry, we will show you how to do a Reverse image without using the Google app. The following steps are very simple and easy to follow, please see the instructions below.

NOTE: This method works if you have the image on your device or the URL of the image.

1. Please open the Safari browser and head to images.google.com 

2. Now pay attention, you need to click on the share button at the very bottom in the middle of the screen. After that kindly scroll to the left side till you see the Request Desktop Site, and click on it. This will reload the image.google.com page.

3. On the same page that you reloaded you will notice a camera icon at the very left side in the search bar that is located in the middle of the screen. Click on it and you will be able to do a reverse image search. 

Now if you have the image on your device (using Google Chrome).

If you do have the image on your device and want to do a Reverse image search on iPhone, please follow this simple and straightforward tutorial.

1. Kindly open images.google.com

2. You will see a three-dots menu icon at the top right corner, kindly click on it for more options to pop up.

3. Once you see different options pop up, scroll down till you see the Request Desktop Site, and click on it.

4. The last step is very simple, you will find a camera icon in the search bar that is located in the middle of your screen.

5. Now you are ready to do a Reverse image search on your device. You can either upload an image or paste an URL link.

Reverse Image Search On iPhone Using 3rd Party Applications

There are plenty of apps that help you to do a Reverse image search on an iPhone. But today we have chosen two apps that you can use. The first app we have is called Reverse. You can download this from the App Store for free. The app utilizes multiple search engines for you to perform a Reverse search on iPhone. There are several tools you can use with the Reversee app, one of them is being able to crop/adjust a particular part of the image.

Once you have downloaded the Reversee app, kindly head to your Safari browser and click on the share button that is at the bottom of the screen. Then kindly scroll to the left until you find a Reversee icon, click on that to do a Reverse search image.

The second app is called Veracity. This app is good for finding the source of the images. Let’s say you want to find a source image of a meme and where it came from, you will be able to do that with the Veracity app.
